Questions, answered straight
Why does my Brother show wrong colors with DST files?
DST stores no color palette, so the machine assigns placeholder colors. PES embeds the palette, which is why this converter leads with PES for Brother and Baby Lock, and lists the same colors on the run sheet.
My machine only has a 4x4 hoop. Can I still use bigger logos?
The design is generated to fit the 4x4 hoop you select, not shrunk from a larger file, so stitch density stays right. If a design would fall under 5 mm on its short side at that size, it is refused with the reason shown.
Does it work for Baby Lock too?
Yes. Baby Lock machines read the same PES format, and the palette and hoop fitting work the same way.
